Bettina Maureenji spent a week at Willunga Waldorf School here in Australia as an artist in residence working with both staff and students. Her knowledge of Hebrew and Sanskrit language, music and culture created a valuable bridge to the curriculum. One of my favorite moments was in a Singing Lesson with Bettina. Through a sound exercise I was able to release my shame around my voice.  The memory that came up was when I didn’t make Pop Singers in High-School.  I felt so disappointed and judged myself very harshly. I had no idea that this experience was blocking me from fully embracing and accepting my singing voice as an adult.  Once I saw it in the session with Bettina, the shame and judgment released and I have felt so much more confident and connected to my voice since then.
